Welcome to the second issue of the COOP SCOOP! February, we saw more growth at the co-op. Center store set up an amazing Local Love end cap, new produce was introduced (expanded choices of mushrooms) and Vegan Strawberry cake, the flavor of the month for the kitchen – outsold our super popular Vegan Chocolate Cake!
Customer Feedback Podium
We’ve placed a Customer Feedback Podium in the atrium near the Free Book Library! Anytime you are at the co-op and you would like to leave us some feedback, write a note and drop it in the box! You can always reach out to email@example.com as well!
Our 2021 Customer Survey is coming to a close on March 8th and we would really love some more feedback! The survey is easy and will help us understand the needs and wants of the people that shop, and/or live around, our store. This survey concentrates on the workings of the co-op as it pertains to groceries and customer service, a future survey will focus on community, events, and programs.
Three lucky survey takers will be gifted a $50 gift card to the co-op once the survey is closed.
February Round Up
February the coop supported the local non-profit, Daystar Kids -Daystar is New York State’s only pediatric day-respite center, helping families successfully transition their infant or young child with special healthcare needs from the hospital to home and support their healthy development all the way until they enroll in kindergarten.
With all your help we collected $1366.39 for this non-profit!
March Round Up
This month we are supporting the marvelous non-profit, Mockingbird Farm.
Mockingbird is a historic farm is nestled in the small town of Byron, NY and has become a place of refuge for all human and non-human beings who step foot onto the farm. Surrounded by the serenity of vast Western New York farmland, massive 6,000 sq ft victorian era barns, apple and pear orchards, gardens, vineyard, and beloved herd of rescued animals, Mockingbird Farm Sanctuary embodies true peace and sanctuary for the living beings in our company.
February was a busy month for Center Store. Steve and the Center Store Crew worked on reorganizing the back receiving area- they did a great job, it looks amazing!
Steve also toured Amazing Grains in February and expanded the variety of our offerings – you’ll also notice we have more Salty Bread in now- a favorite for many shoppers!
You’ll notice we have a LOCAL LOVE endcap in the store now, filed with some of the locally made items you can find around the store. There is a key on each side of the cap, which helps you locate where those items are in the store as well!
The produce department is teaming up with Center Store and the Kitchen to roll out a St Patrick’s Day display filled with all sorts of treats: local cabbage, carrots, onions, Guinness Beers, Soda Bread, and much more!.
COMING SOON: Seed packets from Fruition Seeds!
We have a row of plants, of all different kinds and sizes, along the back of the co-op for purchase, we are also getting in potted spring time favorites like daffodils.
