With the intention of providing greater convenience for our shoppers, Abundance Food Co-op embarked on a new online offering, WebCart, within the past year. Those who preferred not to shop in our physical store now had the option to shop online and have their grocery order packed and available for pick up at their convenience.
Wanting to further optimize the experience of shopping convenience for our customers, we put the idea of offering a delivery service to work in conjunction with WebCart on our radar. So, when a local entrepreneur who shops at Abundance mentioned that they offer a delivery service, we were incredibly excited to explore a potential partnership.
After a few meetings and ironing out of details, Abundance Food Co-op officially partnered with My Name Is Quick delivery service. We are thrilled to align with a partner who upholds similar values of customer service and quality care, and we are proud to announce a union of offerings that we believe will bring excellent service to our valued customers.
We want our community to get to know more about this wonderful business we are partnering with. We decided to ask a few interview questions that would showcase MY Name Is Quick in order to give our shoppers a peek inside this amazing community asset.
Meet Lawerence Forte, III who is the founder of Forte + Family Brands (including My Name Is Quick), the incredible individual who translated his mission of serving the community into reality.
Introduce yourself. Tell us about the business, how many employees you have, where you do business, and how long has your business existed?
At My Name Is Quick, we believe grocery delivery should feel like help from a trusted neighbor — not just a drop-off at the door. We are like your neighborhood spiderman, but for grocery shopping!
We proudly serve Monroe County and surrounding counties including Orleans, Genesee, Ontario, and Livingston.
We also offer a premier live-feed service in Brooklyn (NY) and Long Island (NY) by allowing customers to watch us shop. They’ve come to enjoy feeling like they’re at the store themselves!
Upon request, we bring your groceries fully inside your home, carry the heavy items, and help put things away.
Whether it’s cases of water, large pantry staples, or bags that are simply too much to carry, we step in, so you don’t have to strain, struggle, or stress.
For seniors, busy families, new parents, individuals recovering from injury, or anyone who just needs an extra set of hands — we’re here.
We understand that life gets full. Schedules get tight. Bodies get tired. That’s why we focus on being:
- On time
- Respectful in your home
- Quick and efficient
- Helpful beyond the doorstep
To us, this isn’t just delivery. It’s service. It’s care. It’s community.
When you call My Name Is Quick, you’re not just getting your groceries — you’re getting support you can count on.
We currently serve over 100 homes across New York State and have an amazing staff of 7.
What makes your delivery service unique?
In 2026, when people think of delivery, companies like Amazon, Instacart, Grubhub, and the United States Postal Service often come to mind. These are remarkable services that have transformed how goods move and how quickly customers receive what they need. We respect the efficiency and scale they bring to the marketplace.
My Name is Ǫuick is different — intentionally so.
We are community-focused, not platform-focused. We are not a faceless app operating from a distant call center. We are local. We are accessible. We are accountable.
Our service extends from store to shelf — not simply curb to curb. We step inside when needed. We place items where they belong. We assist with what others leave at the door.
And if we ever fall short, our customers can speak directly to us — to the owner, and to the men and women who made the delivery. We take responsibility, and we make it right.
We are not trying to be the largest delivery service.
We are committed to being the most trusted in our community.
What was your inspiration for starting a delivery service? What need were you looking to fill?
My Name Is Quick was born out of resilience, recovery, and a deep commitment to community.
During the COVID pandemic, I, Lawrence Forte III, battled severe pneumonia and spent months in and out of the hospital. Recovery was not simple. Rebuilding lung strength and regaining endurance required movement, discipline, and purpose. As a lifelong entrepreneur and award-winning web designer who had worked with family-owned businesses and small nonprofits across the East Coast, staying idle was never in my nature — nor was isolating myself during recovery the healthiest path forward.
Grocery delivery became that bridge.
Working through platforms like Instacart allowed me to stay active, interact with people, and gradually regain strength while serving others. Over time, customers began recognizing not just the speed of delivery, but the efficiency, organization, and care put into every order. “Quick” became more than a compliment — it became a nickname.
Soon, customers began requesting me personally.
That demand revealed something bigger.
Many elderly individuals — especially those living alone or in apartment complexes — needed far more than groceries left at the door. They needed assistance bringing items inside. Help with heavy cases of water. Support opening tightly sealed containers. A trusted, reliable presence.
There was a clear gap in service.
While most delivery platforms focus on drop-off convenience, very few address the physical realities and challenges faced by seniors. That unmet need became the foundation of My Name Is Quick.
Today, we serve everyone — busy professionals, families, individuals recovering from injury — but we remain deeply committed to the elderly community, where our service first found its purpose.
My Name Is Quick is not just about speed.
It’s about dignity.
It’s about assistance.
It’s about showing up fully for people when they need it most.
What values are most important to you when it comes to business?
At the foundation of My Name is Ǫuick are two guiding principles: Grace and Gratitude.
Grace may not be the first value that comes to mind in the delivery industry, where speed and efficiency are often prioritized above all else. While we are committed to timely service and operational excellence, we recognize that our customers’ lives do not always move at the same pace as a delivery schedule. Some customers may need additional time to answer the door. Others may require assistance bringing in or organizing heavier items.
We approach every delivery with patience, understanding, and respect. We ensure that each customer is personally acknowledged before we leave, and we are prepared to assist wherever needed. Extending grace is not simply a courtesy — it is part of our responsibility. We believe small moments of patience and kindness can meaningfully impact someone’s day.
Equally important is Gratitude. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve. Grateful that customers entrust us with their groceries and their time. Grateful that they value and compensate us for a service designed to make their lives easier.
We do not take our role for granted. We recognize that our business exists because of the trust and support of our customers, and we approach each delivery with appreciation and humility.
At My Name is Ǫuick, we deliver more than groceries — we deliver with grace, and we operate with gratitude.
In what ways do you feel aligned with Abundance Food Co-op and what led you to forge a partnership?
Abundance Food Co-op and My Name is Quick are aligned because we both believe access matters.
Abundance exists to bring healthy, high-quality, thoughtfully sourced food to our local community. My Name is Quick exists to make sure more people in that same community can actually access those goods — especially neighbors who may face barriers like mobility challenges, time constraints, or limited transportation.
We’re not trying to replace the neighborhood grocery experience — we’re extending it.
Abundance creates access to nourishing food.
My Name is Quick creates access to the store itself.
What led us to forge this partnership is simple: we share the same heart for Rochester. We
both believe community care goes beyond transactions. It’s about making sure everyone
— seniors, busy parents, individuals recovering from illness, or anyone needing an extra hand — can benefit from what our local food system has to offer.
Together, we’re closing the gap between the shelf and the home.
