New location. New logo. Same love for real food and cooperation. Come April 1, you're going to notice something a little different about Abundance–a new logo and look ahead of our move to 571 South Avenue in the South Wedge.
Abundance Food Co-op is a member of National Co+op Grocers (NCG), a cooperative that supports and advocates for more than 180 food co-ops across the United States at the national level. Last month they released this important statement on the international cooperative movement's longstanding position on the issue of equality, democracy, and human rights.
We recognize the barriers that exist for a large number of South Wedge residents to accessing nutritious, affordable foods. We are dedicated to increasing food access and nutrition education in our new neighborhood. Neighborfood is a food and nutrition literacy program–help us get it off the ground!
Abundance Food Co-op Community Meetups provide a place for people new and old to the co-op to come together to learn, share, and exchange knowledge about and around our local food system, the cooperative movement, and more. General themes will be provided, but those are just starting points. How conversations will go will be up to the people who attend!
We're now building our first schedule of classes, skill-swaps, meet-ups & more!
When you purchase Riojana olive oil you are not just purchasing a delicious ingredient to enjoy, you are casting a vote in favor of cooperative, fair trade businesses—and helping more than 422 cooperative members continue to invest in a brighter future.
